Sharry and HID Launch the First Wallet-Based Credential Project for Offices in Latin America

Buró Property in Mexico became the first developer in Latin America to enable Apple and Google Wallet–based access across its commercial real estate portfolio.
Buró Property, a leading real estate group, has deployed an integrated digital access solution that combines Sharry’s workplace experience platform with HID’s Mobile Access technology to create a modern access ecosystem for corporate office environments.
The launch begins at Insitu Santa Fe in Mexico City – with further rollouts for corporate buildings Puerta Polanco and DEK Polanco. The system unified access to turnstiles, elevators and parking areas through a credential stored securely in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, depending on each user’s device.
“Being the first buildings in Latin America to incorporate Apple Wallet and Google Wallet is a great point of pride we share with all our partners. This upgrade reaffirms our commitment to quality and to our tenants’ experience, positioning us as pioneers in the region.”

Buró Property | About The Company
Buro Property, based in Mexico City, is the commercial and industrial real estate arm of Quiero Casa Group, backed by over 45 years of experience in construction and development. They specialize in designing, building, and managing high-quality assets, including landmark corporate and commercial buildings such as Puerta Polanco, DEK Polanco, Insitu Santa Fe – the first three office buildings in Mexico with Wallet credentials launched in cooperation with HID and Sharry.
The company’s mission is to deliver excellence through innovation, sustainability, and efficiency in every project. They take pride in creating properties that are architecturally refined, technologically sustainable, and functionally optimized — spaces that meet the evolving needs of their clients while contributing positively to the urban and industrial landscape.
“When we decided to implement Google Wallet and Apple Wallet, our goal was to enhance the customer experience to make it as satisfying and simple as possible. We realized that physical cards were already obsolete. Having our access credential on the smartphone is the easiest way to enter the properties.”

Smart Platform to Manage Workplace Access
To support a seamless, secure, and future-ready workplace experience, Sharry deployed a comprehensive solution for Buró Property that combines mobile access, workplace services, and centralized management across all stakeholders – from employees and visitors to property managers and tenant administrators.
Delivered solution components:
- Mobile access with Wallet credentials
The mobile access solution is fully integrated with the C•CURE 9000 access control system. HID acts as the credential provider, enabling secure mobile credentials to be provisioned via the Sharry platform and stored in users’ Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. - White-labeled workplace app
Sharry delivered a custom, white-labeled workplace app branded as Buró Property. The app serves not only as the source of the employee access badge but also as a central hub for workplace information, including news, events, polls, special offers, or manuals. - PortalWX for access administration
Sharry’s PortalWX provides property managers and tenant administrators with a centralized console to manage access permissions. Property management can oversee the entire building, while individual tenants can independently manage their users, roles, and access badges. - Visitor management
Through Sharry, employees can invite visitors and grant them access in advance. A digital Guestbook is available for reception teams to manage visitor check-in and check-out, streamlining lobby operations and improving the visitor experience. - Insights and analytics
Sharry delivers detailed workplace analytics and insights across locations and individual tenants. These data help stakeholders better understand usage patterns, optimize daily operations, and make informed, data-driven decisions. - Easy parking access
Drivers can use their mobile badge also to access parking areas seamlessly. By simply tapping their smartphone or smartwatch on a HID reader, the barrier opens automatically at the parking entrance.
“The implementation of Apple Wallet and Google Wallet not only sets a technological precedent but also tangibly enhances the daily lives of those who work in and visit our spaces, combining security, convenience, and modernity. The response has been overwhelmingly positive – both tenants and visitors appreciate being able to access the building as easily as they make a payment with their phone."

Security, Convenience, and Modernity
The ability to add mobile credentials to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and open the office with the user's smart devices delivers major benefits for both employees and property managers alike.
- Improved Workplace Experience: With the mobile-first approach, users add their badge to their digital wallet just as they would a payment card or digital ID. The badge in Apple Wallet will work up to 5 hours even when the iPhone needs a charge.
- Enhanced Security: Mobile access relies on the same rigorous security protocols used in mobile payments. In a corporate environment, additional protections such as facial recognition or fingerprint biometrics can be enforced.
- Operational Efficiency: Wallet credential distribution occurs through the Buro Property workplace app, but the credentials can also be provisioned via web-based workflows – allowing security administrators to send a credential via email. This removes manual handovers and accelerates onboarding.
“Seeing how access control evolves toward mobile solutions is incredible. With HID and Sharry, we've been able to take this trend to the next level, combining technology, security, and a truly seamless user experience with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.”

Collaborative Innovation
This workplace access solution was made possible through a joint effort by multiple partners:
- HID, a worldwide leader in trusted identity solutions, acted as the mobile credential provider and supplied compatible card readers.
- Sharry developed the Buro Property workplace app, which enables users to add their badge to their digital wallet and provides managers with a cloud-based portal to easily and remotely manage access badges and permissions.
- Schindler, a global elevator provider, ensured a smooth user experience — enabling seamless movement from street to office.
- IR Systems, a company specialized in providing electronic security solutions and systems, worked as an integrator to launch the integration with the C•CURE access control system.
“As a regional representative of Sharry in the Americas, witnessing this project evolve from concept to reality has been a deeply personal and professional achievement. This milestone marks a major step in bringing secure, convenient and innovative workplace access to the region, positioning Buro Property, HID and Sharry as true technology pioneers in Latin America.”
